Courteous, personalized service begins the moment you decide to build a Northpoint Home.
The first step is understanding what is important to you. Next, you are guided
through the process of making selections for your new home.
Customer service prides itself at being able to speak the language of the buyer and the builder to ensure fluent communication.
The following are steps we will take together:
1. Meet Your Builder
Once you have met with our representative and you've made a decision to own a Northpoint Home, it 's time for you to meet your builder. This is when we get to know you and what is important to you. We will explain the entire process of building your new home and answer all your questions regarding construction.
Architectural design services include modification of our original floor plans such as expansion of size or addition of attached garage. (This service is an upgrade.)
2. Pre-Construction Orientation
You will have an opportunity to choose from a wide array of fixtures, appliances and finishes. You will also decide where you would like to have phone and cable TV jacks located. Next, you will meet with your builder again to review your selections a final time. Sometimes the selections and upgrades that are made will impact the schedule, so this is a good time to go over these things. We will also talk in detail about the next step known as the "Pre-Drywall Walk-Through".
3. The Pre-Drywall Walk-Through
This is your opportunity to inspect your home before the drywall is hung. Together, we will inspect all mechanical and electrical rough-ins and verify all phone and cable locations. We also take a close look at the framing, the foundation, the roof, the sub-floor and the insulation. If there are any concerns about the home at that point, we will address those concerns and,
if necessary, meet again to walk through the changes.
4. The Final Walk-Through
It means your home is ready for you to move into, and, if there are some minor imperfections, they will be handled within the 1st 30 days after you take possession of your home. We will provide a packet of necessary items and useful information at your closing including:

Your Keys
- Your appliance and equipment manufacturers' warranties
- Instructions for care and use of your new products
- Your Northpoint Homes and HMS Home-Owners Warranties
- Emergency contact information
5. The Closing
Between our legal counsel and real estate professionals, we will do what it
takes to make the closing problem-free. Once you take possession, your home
will be protected by one of the best warranties in the industry.
YOUR 10 YEAR NEW HOME WARRANTY
The 1st Year:
Northpoint Homes is fully responsible for anything that may need adjustment,
repair or replacement*
2nd Through 10th Years:
We are still responsible, as noted above, except all warranty issues will be
handled by HMS, one of the nations leading home warranty companies. During this
period, you will be required to pay the 1st $100 deductible in any year that you
require service from them. For more information, please visit the HMS website at
www.hmsnet.com. All warranty information will also be
included in your "closing packet".

vandals, war or an "Act of God" such as earthquake, flood, lightning, etc.
Some minor hairline cracks are normal in new homes within the 1st year.
These are caused by minor settling of the foundation or shrinkage.
